A rainy day in the Honduran countryside

Though not the best quality photo by anyone’s standards (hey – it was before phone cameras excelled themselves!), this is one of my personal all time favourite photos that I’ve collected over the years travelling. it was taken at a ranch in Olancho, which I was amazingly welcomed to by an awesome girl I’d met in a bar a couple of nights before. It sounds like a situation I should have avoided as a 19 year old travelling on my own in one of the statistically most dangerous countries in the world, but my judgement paid off. I had the most beautiful, incredible weekend with my new Honduran friend and her family, and when the rain started pouring down over the mountains, I couldn’t help but watch in awe. (Also, those hammocks were awe-some).
