The Soča river in Slovenia

This picture was taken during a one week stint in Slovenia a couple of summer’s ago. As I’ve written about here, Slovenia was a country that I’d never thought of visiting – not one bit. I didn’t know what the country was like, I didn’t know what the people were like, and it didn’t know that it had such incredible, fairy tale nature sites like this! This was part of a national park on a three day activity tour including white water rafting on theΒ Soča river. Although the company I was keeping was not the best (five very obnoxious, American ‘frat’ boys – yaaay!), the bluest water I’d seen in a long time made soon me forget about them.
