Tian Tan Buddha – Hong Kong

Though hazy and distant, this is Tian Tan Buddha in Hong Kong. As I’ve written about before, Hong Kong is an insane place. My first trip there was with one of my best friends, both of us fresh out of our first year of university. We visited for just three days after 7 weeks backpacking in Australia and were astounded by the damp, bright weather. We basically squinted and sweated our way around the city. The Tian Tan Buddha and the Po Lin Monastry was a short cable ride away, and was very much worth it. Beautiful surroundings and a great atmosphere. Recommended!
