This picture was taken from the comfort of a very nice little river cruise boat when I was in Zambia. The main appeal of Zambia (at least for me!) is the amazing nature that is literally all around you. It’s so easy to find tours who will readily take you out into the middle of the Zambezi and show you what incredible animals inhabit the area. Here, right next to us there was a family of hippos in the water, a couple of HUGE crocodiles and a lorra lorra bison. Watching the sunset over the river, beer in hand, surrounded by these creatures I suspected may only exist in storybooks was a moment I’ll never forget!
