This was taken on one of the first days of a four month RTW trip in 2012. Hungary was never high up on my travel checklist, but it blew me away. Beautiful weather, beautiful city and full of these amazing Turkish baths. Even though it was a bit weird getting in the warm water pools when it was so hot outside, it was a very, very cool experience. Topping this was a huge pool party at the weekend. Amazing!

I love Budapest too. For such a cheap and easy destination to visit (from the UK), it offers so much. I visited in December and it was an amazing experience sitting in the outdoor baths with the snow falling! Sitting there watching the local men playing chess just added to a surreal (but great) day.

You’re absolutely right 🙂 I was there in summer so it was so hot, but I’d love to go back in the winter time. Sitting in the baths with snowfall sounds amazing!
